The World Poker Tour will be making its next sizzling stop in Barcelona, Spain on May 19 – 23, 2010 for the fourth World Poker Tour Spanish Championship. This exciting tournament will have a main event Buy-in of 3,200 + 300€. A seat in the main event may be won at one of the many online qualification events or at land based satellites. There will also be super satellites on May 17 and 18, 2010. The tournament will be held at the glamorous Casino Barcelona, one of Europe’s leading casinos.
This world class poker tournament has seen many famous poker stars enter since its inception in 2007 including Gus Hansen, Erik Seidel, Barry Greenstein, Antonio Esfandiari, Annette Obrestad, Ludovic Lacay and Steve Sung as well as many other top poker players from all over the globe. When the winner is decided on May 23, he or she will be added to the list of winners that includes Austrian Markus Lehmann, Danish poker star Casper Hansen, and the current WPT Spanish Champion, Mark Randal Flowers of the United States. In addition to a WPT title and the winner’s purse, the winner will receive a fully paid entry fee of 25,500 in the upcoming 2011 WPT World Championship.
